Spring at Alkham in the White Cliffs Area of Kent

The Alkham Valley is just bursting out with wild flowers and bird song with this glorious sunny weather we’ve been having.    The Primroses on our chalky banks are just a beautfiul mass of yellow.  The buds on the trees are slowly opening  and  soon the whole landscape will be looking a lot greener.

Our horses are enjoying the warm weather without their winter rugs and we seem to be endlessly grooming them to get rid of their winter coats!

Neil and Henry got the sheep in at the weekend to give them a checkover and to see if they needed ‘dagging up’ before shearing next month, and because of the dry weather we’ve been having they were amazingly clean!
