We won 2 Golds in Tourism South East’s ‘Beautiful South Awards’

We’ve won 2 gold awards for our accommodation properties! First up our 5* star bed and breakfast Alkham Court Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast has won Bed and Breakfast of the Year. Plus Greenhill Glamping won “Glamping Business of the Year”. We are so pleased.

We are pleased to announce a Kent based family farming business have won 2 Golds in Tourism South East’s ‘Beautiful South Awards’ for Glamping Business of the Year and Bed & Breakfast of the Year for 2017/2018.

These prestigious awards are ran by Tourism South East to recognise and celebrate excellence in the south east tourism industry.  The awards evening was held on 29th November at The Grand Brighton and were presented by TV and Heart radio presenter Toby Anstis.  For more information please see http://www.beautifulsouthawards.co.uk

Alkham Court beat some very fine opposition to win Gold for Bed & Breakfast of the Year.  The judges said they had “a memorable and amazing stay”.  More information can be found at www.alkhamcourt.co.uk.

Greenhill Glamping, in its first year of business, took on other well established glamping businesses in the region to win Gold for Glamping Business of the Year.  The judges described Greenhill Glamping as having “all the luxury home comforts with plenty of hidden touches in a very unique shepherd’s hut.” .  Please see www.greenhillglamping.co.uk for more details. 

Both Alkham Court and Greenhill Glamping are based at South Alkham, near Dover, in the heart of the Alkham Valley.  The owners Neil & Wendy Burrows are delighted to be recognised as offering the very best bed and breakfast and glamping accommodation in the South East.  They will now go forward to represent the South East in the National Awards 2018 hosted by Visit England.
